Allowance is functionally infinite. Some showroom items can be traded infinitely for allowance tokens and one of the experiment results also increases your allowance.
They're not really something that needs hunted but you'll find them when you do other puzzles.
It'd clearly be a bug if it was possible to destroy something necessary... but i'm not sure i'd be willing to take that risk.
edit: Sorry, missed your second question... are forblaze said, allowance tokens are rare, but not finite. I don't think you could ever "get them all" any more than you could get all the gems.
Use the sigil key, don't trade it...
In another similar thread while searching for this info, someone mentioned finding a new key in one of their other places, so maybe I will be lucky later. But for now it feels very bad.
Edit: Library records how many I've "found" but it's actually the number of doors unlocked, so... maybe it'll correct itself after all?
It clearly a bug if the game allow you to sell important item whithout possibilty of return.
Either my save is f**** up or not. Who knowns ?
I am inclined to believe this is a bug. Try checking out the locations of keys you've already found and used.
Anything unique and important in the game respawns if it's destroyed in any way.
Otherwise you would brick your game if you picked up a sanctum key without enough steps to use it.
Special keys, micro chips, etc can all be traded at the trading post and it is often very powerful to do so.
Some users are reporting that trading away their keys multiple times has resulted in them not respawning.
I have not personally had this problem.
I've seen other users mentioning it too and not just on here.
