Error comes up when on the match screen.

Hi, i need some help i have updated everything and deleted all the caches but still the same problem when loading up on the match screen it comes up with a error message and logs me back out. can anyone help me with this? thanks

This is happening for me on FM22 too - I've had the same save for a year, and all of sudden it crashes if I try and play a match.

I've tested new saves, and even on a different Mac with a more up to date OS, and every time I try and play a game it crashes.

unfortunately it happens to me too, in fact I wanted to buy the new Football manager 2024 but I'm afraid that they will do it too and I don't trust it, to bypass this you have to go on holiday during the match and return on Monday but you are unable to watch the matches, I have I also opened a discussion but no one replied to give me support, I deleted cache, deleted Steam, everything but nothing the problem persists and so now I'm not playing and I don't trust myself to buy other games

Same thing happening to my save all of a sudden. Done all the troubleshooting yesterday and it worked, now happening again but the troubleshooting doesn't fix it. Strange that its happening at the same time...

I went through the support - they gave me all the standard stuff about the caches etc which I'd already done. The last reply says that they can't replicate it, but suggested trying to play offline which WORKED so I can now play the save.
Weird that it's affecting us all at the same time, almost on the same day - it's like there was an update somewhere which has broken it.

Sometimes we'll request you remove your cache/preferences folders as it may be the cause of an issue. We'd recommend moving these files away from their current location and into a 'new' folder you can create on your desktop. That way if this does fix the issue, you can hopefully send us folders so we can fix whatever caused the issue initially.

Make sure the game is not open before following the instructions below.

For Windows 8.1, 10 and 11:

- Click ‘File Explorer’ from within the taskbar (or click ‘Desktop/Start’ then type in ‘File Explorer’)
- On the header click ‘View’ and make sure above ‘Show/hide’ that ‘Hidden Items’ is ticked
- Navigate to C:\Users\[Your Windows Username]\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\[Football Manager title]
- Move the Preferences and/or Cache folder to your desktop, so they no longer appear in the Football Manager folder

Please bear in mind, these are not your save games or the same folder which contains these, this folder is completely unrelated. Upon removing these folders, new ones will be regenerated when you launch the game. The next time you launch the game remember to change any preferences you wish to have changed (such as auto saves, sound level or game display mode).

Having same problem (Mac), have started new game and no change. Select team, move to next stage and click on anything to do with tactics and it crashes.

I started to get this issue too on MacOS around a week ago. Tried to update MacOS to latest version, and ran through steps to clear game's cache etc, but it still randomly crashes. I've run FM22 on this machine since November 2021 with no issue until now. Multiple save files are giving this issue. I have just seen that the Sega Support page has acknowledged an issue 3 days ago.
