What does mark ( A, B, C.... ) represent in the intake, and what do stars ( poor, average, excellent... ) ?
Once I didn`t have any A mark and stars said it`s average, other time I had A and it was poor.

It's relative opinion of relative option (opinion) of your current squad. A five star in Vanarama team does not mean will be the next Messi, a Youth Intake of your team with A does not mean will be 200 PA player. Take it with a pinch of salt all that information which coming from your background staff.

Ye, I know that, but as I said, I had 1 A no B's and C's and it was poor intake, and did reload and got few B's and it was average.
So do the stars represent 'average' of your intake?

There is 2 categories in the game: Current Ability & Potential Ability. Range is 1-200. CA & PA 200 means this is the best player in history. Attributes Range is 1-20; where the 20 means absolute perfect. Attributes has weighting for each position, means: A Center Back has a higher weighting for Marking from Striker; which end-up to improve Marking for Center Back to "eat" more CA (Current Ability) points.

I`m playing @ San Marino league, 10 years into save. Got best facilities, so I`m trying to finally get some good HG player, as so, I`m doing save/reload on youth intake date, and wanted to know which signs should I look for. Player marks ( A,B,C ) or youth intake rating ( poor,average... )

Every time you will reload, you will take something different. That's the nature of source code of the game. 1 A grade and no B or C means nothing.

It's just a preview of upcoming Youth Intake and nothing more. Youth Intake preview means nothing to me until I saw their attributes for each position.

Regarding San Marino, San Marino has low Game Importance, FA Financial Power, Economic Factor and Youth Rating; along with low Youth Coaching, Youth Importance, Youth Facilities it's highly unlikely to see a player on level of English Premier League.

Haven`t played FM21, but in FM20, HOYD is comparing your current squad rating with the youngsters coming in, so when he tells me in youth intake preview, (e.g.) your CM looks like top prospect, I knew that he could have 180 + PA.

In FM22 has been replaced with A-F grade. As I said, that panel isn't so necessary and doesn't tell you exactly the whole story. Still, A-F is based of your current squad.
