Can't connect at all

Every time I start up the game I get the same error message:
"Something went wrong! System.exception: you got disconnected.. Please quit the application and try again."
I was only able to get to the title screen once before for quickly receiving this message again. What can I do on my end to fix this issue?

Depending on the country you are playing in, your ISP may not be allowing traffic through and you might require a VPN to play.
