This error code occurs often when your antivirus is blocking the function of the anticheat. If you could go to this thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/1568590/discussions/0/3801650156486024535/

Well, to be honest I know some „cheaters”.
Some of them just tell each other roles/other info on discord, some of them use macro for fast clicking (which makes Pelican almost unbeateable in the last of 3 battle).
But those are the things you can't prevent and people will do it, if you play with wrong mates.
But updates like anti-cheat one or the one which hides nicknames of new-joiners or new-joiners are unable to type in chat... those one from my point of view don't stop anyone from cheating, but make other people play less comfortable.
But that is just my point of view.
I'm glad the game is constantly updated and you guys do your best in keeping it working and fresh with new stuff in game, maybe I just underestimate the amount of cheaters in the game like this...
I think we are in agreement that you do not have a holistic perspective on the type and amounts of cheating in the game. thanks for your feedback
We should be in agreement in the whole text I wrote, but I think one day you will get there too.
The game's anticheat is behaving weirdly the whole time I had the game installed, especially crashing when trying to close the game. Otherwise works fine once I'm in game. But this time I couldn't even launch it to play.
Thing is, I don't run anything globally that would interfere with the game.
No resident anti-virus. And even the built-in Windows Defender is disabled.
I'm not sandboxing, hooking or debugging the game manually either — nothing.
I never really had anti-cheat issues with other games either.
Rechecking integrity of the files of course didn't help either.
The launch issue went away on its own after some time. I kinda assumed it was just a bug that gotten patched.
The closing crash still persists. I guess I can live with it, but would much prefer to know what's causing it.
