Can we have proximity chat on in public games?
This is something we have considered, but have ultimately decided against. We have taken the stance that if you make a private game, you are responsible for moderating it. The host will have their own rules, and have the responsibility of kicking people who they feel are breaking the rules.
Public lobbies are different in that players don't necessarily know the people in the game they are joining into. Kids might enter a game and can be harassed by others in some corner of the map if proximity chat is on. If someone is being rude or toxic in a meeting, everyone can hear it and can block their mics, which will prevent them from being able to chat to anyone.

So why don't we just separate servers into kids and 18+? Because a 12 year old can check off a box that says they are 18. You could make the argument that it wouldn't be our fault at that point, but we'd rather prevent the potential abuse and toxicity and protect those who cannot protect themselves.

If you want to play with proximity chat, you can make a private game. If you need players, try the goose goose duck discord https://discord.gg/ggd , and host or find a game in the #lfg channels. There are often players in the #lfg-english channel looking for players in private games who would be happy to have you!
Why do I keep getting the same role(s)?

I have MacOSX and when I join or host a private game, I’m stuck in the rec room of SS Goose, with the lobby’s START GAME and LEAVE ROOM buttons.

The issue has been identified to be strictly an issue to do with Steam and MacOSX users. Download the standalone build from https://gaggle.fun/goose-goose-duck , or verify the integrity of the steam files.

My game starts, but it's stuck on the loading screen indefinitely!

This is usually caused by a registry error. If you are using windows, hit ALT+R to open the run window. Type in “regedit” and launch the registry editor. Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE, delete every folder with Gaggle (Gaggle Studios, Gaggle Studios INC, Gaggle.Fun, GaggleStudios). Be sure NOT to delete the Google folder. Relaunch your client.


I live in India/Pakistan/China/Philippines/Iran/Iraq/Syria/Myanmar and after 1 minute of running the game, I get disconnected saying CLIENTTIMEOUT, but my internet is fine.

Depending on time of day or day of the week, the service providers can use different DNS connections, and your ISP may not being able to connect to our game servers. You need to contact your ISP or use a VPN.

My cursor is drifting while playing the game.

If you have any other input device plugged in, please disconnect it. This can include joysticks, flight controllers, fight sticks, and more.

I cannot see other players in the game.
Unfortunately, your computer does not meet the minimum requirements to play the game. The minimum require are:

I'm finishing games, but i'm getting virtually no silver!
If the games you are playing are too short, you will not be rewarded silver. This is a feature added to prevent players from farming or using bots to farm silver. However, if you are playing games that are not short, and you see the 'egg' screen after games, but still aren't getting the corresponding amount of silver added to your account, you have a faulty piece of hardware. There is a microchip in your computer called the CMOS that is responsible for regulating the time and date for your computer. As a consequence of this faulty chip, it is likely that your computer is sending erratic information that is triggering Gaggle's automated security. For example, your computer is telling us it completed a five minute game now, and one minute later, it's saying it finished a ten minute game. You will have to replace this chip to gain silver normally. Thank you for your patience.

My mic isn’t working.

There are many potential root causes that may contribute to a microphone not working.
In a private game, please make sure that you are not deafened or muted, and also have the correct input devices selected.
If this does not work, in Windows, open your sound settings, and then the correct devices are set to Default Devices, rather than Communication Devices.
If this does not work, please join the Goose Goose Duck discord and join the #bug-reports-and-troubleshooting channel for additional troubleshooting assistance.

I’ve purchased a pack or a gold coin bundle, but they aren’t in my account!

When you make a purchase through steam, steam will first authenticate the transaction and place your funds in your steam wallet. Once the funds are there, attempt to purchase the pack or gold coin bundle again. Restart your client, and your purchased items should be on your account.

I redeemed my twitch drop, but it’s not showing up in the game!
