Coop is basicly not-playable from game 2 on (and now it seems in its worst shape ever).
Really? It's been broken since Little Hope?
A'ight, that's what I need to know.
You guys clearly haven't read past the title.
Only mildly annoyed.
But I guess you can only graps extreme emotions.
IMO Shared Story is the most fun way to play these games. Limited information both players have add a lot of suspense and surprise. That being said solo can be just as fun and I'd highly recommend playing both cuts at least once if possible. These games hit differently when you have to try to keep everyone alive indirectly thru the Curator's Cut.
Devil in me is the first and only one that's been outright broken; everything from missing player animations to assets disappearing from the game world, the Incinerator scene that just seems like one big mess of a bug, every other scene just fast forwarding and skipping ahead when you've only explored about 40% of any given area.. etc.
To answer the OP I'd go so far to say that it's actually *recommended* and 10x better to play this one solo in it's current state. You'll actually be able to follow the story and understand what is going on. This has been my experience so far doing my second run after our online game; all these documents and tape recordings and stuff that were skipped over by the game forcibly fast tracking us to the next scene during the online session seem pretty damn essential in constructing the narrative.
Shame the game's online mode seemingly didn't get playtested at all :/
