OK, thank you, good to know. The steam page, or something else, should at least notify users of this. Still, ultimate edition owners should have this marked as owned, since it is owned. Practically every other game does this in similar cases.

Because the Ultimate Upgrade does not include the season pass, like the Ultimate Edition does, so standard edition owners can buy it and get the BGM, Artbook, and Soundtrack, but they still wouldn't own the ultimate edition because it does not include the season pass, therefore making this a completely separate piece of DLC. Hence why it's called Ultimate Upgrade, and not Ultimate Edition Upgrade.
