As far as how they work i cant tell you, as gunny stated, rn im sure youll still have to feed the autoloader manually till other stuff comes along later.
along the way youll get more turret mats as well, like my base is the first upgrade and have like 7 30 mm and 8 mg and thats enough for rn to get through normal missions, snow biome, and i have enough mats to make like 10 more mg or 30 mm but would lower power and storage too much to not make runs viable.
oh man I didn't realize you got resources for skipping. I just skipped basically a whole tour and got a bunch of good gear. Thank you!
fair advice, however the way its structured makes you feel like a scrub for needing to farm previous maps for gear. Also my second expedition, i thought it had bugged because it never once credited me for unlocking an NPC and speaking to it, i thought i'd have to redo it then bam, mission complete.
