Slimes of the World 2024 Update!

Slime 64: Slimes of the World has received an important update, bringing its physics more in-line with the final game!

Game physics have been updated to better reflect the final game.

Rock is easier to control while rolling on the ground.
Subtle tweaks to gravity, with changes to jump, fire jump, air hover, and air updraft to generally preserve existing capabilities.
Introduced "Air Resistance" - Air Updraft will be less effective and be usable for a shorter duration while moving at high speeds. This is to prevent players from being able to vault mountains, and to let us better design levels that keep the player contained, while not restricting much existing movement.
Resetting the stick to Neutral is no longer faster than simply holding forward. This primarily effects the Fire Slime.
Using a drift boost upon launching off of a mushroom restores full control to the player.
Air hover does not instantly halt all downward velocity, instead fighting against the gravity.

Game-wide improvements!

New Bell sounds! Collecting bells in quick succession sees them play an ascending scale. Bell placement was modified on some levels to work better with this feature.
New level transition effects.
3D Portal text! (This is still in active development, and will see more improvements in the full game)

Some levels have been modified, but usually only in subtle ways to improve the player experience.

The hidden developer slimes were relocated in Water Trial 1, Water Trial 2, and Lilypad Lagoon.

Slime 64: Slimes of the World Prologue has been Released!

Welcome to the grand opening of the Slimesonian's Slimes of the World exhibit! Experience the powers of water, fire, air, and earth slimes in this two-hour long standalone prologue to Slime 64!

Starting now the Slime 64: Slimes of the World Prologue is available for download, listed as the Demo of the full game here on Steam. In the biz, it's what some would call a "vertical slice" of the full game - it serves as a demonstration of the visuals, gameplay, character, and overall experience we're aiming to build in the final product!

We hope you'll take the time to check out the Slimesonian. There are bonuses for 100% completion, secrets inside of secrets, and all sorts of bells and whistles ;D

If you check the game out, we'd really appreciate if you also took the time to fill out the feedback form that the game will direct you to. Your feedback on this demo will help us ensure the final game is the best it can be.

Where are the save-game-files at windows pc

Where does the Game store the save files, when play on a windows pc? I don´t see it under the userdate directory in the "Saved games" folder.

Germany age rating

Sadly, as of November 15th Germany requires Steam games to have an official age rating to be shown in Germany. Due to this, Slime 64 no longer shows up in searches in Germany. While I know that this may incurr some difficulties, I still hope that eventually this game may be age rated to once again be available to Germany, as i find this games concept quite interesting....

Tips for playing the demo

Nice game, but it throws a lot of mechanics and play-styles at you right from the start (and there's more if you get to advance!) so my advice is to choose one area and try to 100% the collectibles to try to get a feel for the game; the easiest I think are the water and fire areas. I almost gave up on the demo because I jumped from area to another but luckily I came back and really enjoyed the rest of it. Also please check the settings you can turn the Cube 64 pixel effect and play it with much clear visu...
