The painting went from normal to door slightly ajar to 2 people looking out to what looks like a woman leaning against one of the archways
This was accompanied by the sound of loud, ragged breathing right behind me.
I do not like this T_T
Gave me a good scare!
Thank you so much for your addition. It seems to support my theory that cutting trees/logging makes the painting show the tree, and that heralds the appearance of the antler monsterif you venture outside after dark
The red viscera in the doorway one was an event for me with the red moonlight outside and the floating women above the house.
The four armed man in the painting, I agree, means you are being hunted by an invisible man, run away.
The lying woman on the floor at the front of the painting means one of a variety of events involving the dead wife trope.
Whilst doing a haunting play through I was able to get a tree to appear in the painting but I had done nothing, cut no trees down sorry. Also got the scarecrow man to appear in the kitchen without buying one, I got a splotch mark over the painting door when that happened.
Still baffled what the upside down doorways mean.
When I got this one, nothing happened. No papers, no scarecrow, to do list empty. I hadn't cut any trees myself that day, but I did go around chopping up all the fallen logs which may also count.
I routinely go back inside at sundown no matter what. Aside from one very unusual sound when I was running a smidge late clearing out the old tomato patch, I saw nothing.
The wendigo can appear in your house as well, but its more likely outside, especially during the sundown. Ive been reading the save logs for my playthroughs and ive noticed a p big spike in haunting chance after sundown. Also the spooks seem to only trigger when your pov camera moves. So turn around like a bayblade outside at sundown after ingoring your to do list. Even better if you fainted the day before. This seems to be the optimal way to trigger spooks.
I was wondering if they could get in the house. Spawning directly inside feels a bit like cheating, though. No real way to play with that except pre-empt it by staying on top of things. Was hoping for a little more cat and mouse, you know?
