I know you said you were happy to hear the reception and feedback, and I'm glad people are helping with reporting bugs and stuff. I just wanted to say this since I saw a rude feedback or two about some bugs, PLEASE don't let anything get you down! Your game honestly looks so spectacular and unique, and it absolutely feels like a game that would get me and many others hooked for dozens or hundreds of hours (depending on if you lean more into a story-route or "endless" route like stardew).
I'm sure most people posting the rude-ish feedback on bugs are just trying to help in their own way, but have poor wording. But I wanted to make this post just in-case anythings harsh.
I think the one that got was was the lady laying on the floor, I was soooo confused. The face did creep me out to the point of just sitting by the bed and refusing to complete my daily check list as soon as I saw it. I was like "NOPE! Camping by the bed till it lets me sleep!"
I don't like the dialogue in some parts (fat a__, little bi___, lunatic, etc) it's just a bit unnecessary. Otherwise, very creepy & fun.
Same exact issue for me too--as well as some things i've built disappearing.
While I personally am not offended by the swearing in the internal monologue happening, I'd recommend an optional censor option to omit or bleep out the swearing. To restate, I enjoyed the raw emotion behind the chosen words and felt better able to connect with Garrett but I know there will be others whom are easily offended in how others speak to themselves.
Are wolf spawns hardcoded? One of my kids had zero wolf spawns but also didn't fully explore the barn or the can shooting area, where myself and my other child had wolf spawns for both areas.
Highly recommend removing animals able to produce at night. I was able to farm endless chicken eggs and max out my stats, unlock all available purchases, and have thousands of dollars left over. My oldest avoided purchasing the rifle and began looping purchase of more chickens for a few days to achieve similar results of max stats, unlocks and money left over.
One last recommendation; to help naturally limit the max amount of animals, there could be an animal attack against your farm animals with Garrett commenting on how "maybe having that many animals wasn't a good idea" or similar.
Loved the demo. Day 1 purchase from me for sure.
Still:
- would be nice to build everywhere on your land (e.g. in front of the house)
- I can buy endless chickens for one coop and they won't bother another coop until reloading
- you should not be able to buy endless chickens (who in his right mind... nevermind.)
- animals should need to be fed (would also help against endless animals) and they should die when not tended to
- the first axe stays in the inventory after buying the second tier (unlike the other tools)
- the cat walks through closed doors (now that is realy creepy :P)
- Would be nice to replace the old fence with a new one, but I need to leave quite a gap towards the old fence and can't align it to the old fence
- I can build through the trailer (where you can sell items)
- Some bushes/small trees can be removed via scythe and some can not
- the rotting logs should be removable so you can use that land
- the first tomato plants should be removable
- would recomend slower growing plants and leaving an empty day between harvests (would be better for the imersion)
- plants should wither and die when not tended to (now they just wait)
- it should not matter if I water the plants first or harvest them (now the plants won't get water if first waterd and then harvested)
I think it is a nice demo. But for the main game there still need for some things to be done so this becomes and imersive relaxing-horror-game and not a quick grind with jump scares.
I love the game! They did a wonderful job and I am absolutely impressed with the style of the game. I couldn't find any errors in the demo. But I know from others that the to-do list is sometimes not correct. It appears to be empty even though the tasks have not been completed yet. I wish you only the best for your health. Believe in yourself...
I was reading that you had to buy the riffle, i missed that, or tought i had more time to buy it, so i didnt have another save to reload. What can i do instead?
Murphy's Law at its best!!! : The second I asked, (in game it's been several days I couldn't progress with task) I went back into game and was able to process the three stumps. Apparently for anyone else having this issue, I can only assume it's because you need to finish the task of "Chopping down and selling the 12 trees first."
