We Harvest Shadows

Steam deck performance
First off, I really like this games setting and atmosphere so far. Kind of reminds me a little of amnesia and similar games.
I just wanted to mention that the performance on the steam deck at the moment, even on lower settings, are unplayable. If I don't look straight down at the ground the frames per second turn in to seconds to frame.
I read there is only a single developer, so I'm not trying to make this an active call to action, but it might be good to know regardless :)
best of luck with the development of this game!

Yeah i would also like to tell that i absolutely love the concept but the performance is barely playable on the Steam Deck.

On Medium settings you can sit on 15-20fps, that's why i stopped. you can play on the lowest settings and get a few frames more but then the game does not create the right atmosphere.

I tried the demo today handheld on SD and it did crash about 5 minutes in. The controls seemed good for what I could do though, but obviously I didn’t get much gameplay.

Steam deck performance? Full PCs with our 40 series can barely run it. Give the guy a break

That's great news! Playing on Linux-based desktop and it's been a reasonable experience performance-wise. Enjoying the game play despite that. Any interest in producing Linux-native binaries with Unity? I've got several other Unity games that have done that without much extra effort.

Super cool to hear that. Make a big announcement when you sort it! :-)
