I cannot select scoped rifle

Hello all, I have a problem.
The game doesn't allow me to select the scoped rifle with the sniper class; the rifle selection is red and I cannot join the game with it.
There is some reason for this? I'm level 11 sniper and 39 global and I don't see any ingame requirements to unlock it. Can you help me?

Yes there is a reason.

Scoped rifles are limited to 2 per team.

So even if there are more than 2 marksmen, only 2 of them at any given time may have scoped rifle equipped and use it.

They did this for balance reasons.

No, it's 2, but you have to unlock one before you can use it. Using 1 scoped rifle doesn't count towards the other scoped rifle.

It's always the first role that's taken, like it's a race who gets the dips on scope.. I get it from balance point of view but kinda annoying that I never get to even try it out because someone else's has faster computer and they reserve the spot for the whole match.

Some way to force switching roles mid-match would be nice

To add, I just don't get why some many get such a hard-on from playing a marksman, regardless of the game

Totally get your point, but also I paid for a game and I expect to be able to play the class I choose because I've chosen it fair and square. Spending tens of hours playing classes you don't want to play so some random guy with a HDD can get a go, well sorry, but that's not gonna happen.

You can play Marksman class. Oh sorry you want a scope? Scopes aren't even that useful in this game. I guess you wouldn't know that if you've never tried it lol.

Your reply makes absolutely no sense. I was replying to UseYourName's suggestion that people should have their classes switched from them mid game.

I'm sorry that you're unable to see that my point is that most players wouldn't be happy with being kicked out of the class they're playing mid game, so the devs won't ever do this.

What if in fact most players are unhappy with people like you who feel they're entitled to play the same class 100% of the time despite the way it effects everyone else? I'm guessing you never considered that.
