Edit: switch version.
issue: mouse disappears a lot when opening the "journal" to change characters or other things.
only way to semi-fix this is to clt-alt-del to bring up somehtign and click back intot he game. it still regularily disappears. and cant click on anything.
this also happens in battle, and cant click other attacks, can tab through them to the bottom of the list. but cant go back up.
system: Windows
-Switch turn order from the menu does nothing, loaf always acts first.
-Switch turn order on battle only causes to lose loaf turn, it's impossible to make partner take the damage at the end of turn, if partner acts then all enemies going to hurt loaf.
-The only one method to make enemys attack, and only attack, the partner is to make partner defend every turn.
This isn't the designed behavior, in the tutorial papa says that if loaf gets too much damage is better to switch order, even in the tutorial that force you to switch the order, loaf end being the target.
The game is great, but that's a major problem a because hard on you couldn't use partners' skills even when these are better than any weapon that loaf has because loaf is hit by 2+ attacks one or two times per enemy and the only way to avoid 3 turns dead is spamming defend with the partner.
1. After talking to certain NPC's (I think ones with cutscenes) loaf may be unable to jump until he talks with another NPC or exits the game.
2. NPC’s dialogue prompts seem to be activated by moving toward them rather than simply being in close proximity to them, which means if you spawn in close (usually after you’ve completed a sidequest) or miss the trigger somehow you may be unable to talk to them or the indicator that says they have a sidequest for you may still appear even if you already did it. This is especially problematic when it comes to triggers that let you save or heal your party. It’s usually fixed by walking away and walking towards the NPC again, but sometimes it takes a few tries.
3. Loaf can move while the screen is black during the running minigame. (He can probably do that all the time but it’s more noticeable here.)
4. Also, breaking a barrel during the minigame seems to do screwy stuff to the sfx, as the clovers only spawn after the minigame is over.
5. After the Coldstock cottage chapter half the cottage was invisible for me. (I was playing the original release version then.)
6. After certain cutscenes, your partners will display incorrectly in the pause menu, for example showing a picture of Lint and the name of Yagi. (I mostly just found this funny. XD)
7. Certain cutscenes also seem to revert color palette changes. This probably has to do with them being switched out improperly.
8. You can move while holding up an item you bought at a shop. (At least, the one in the canyons) This is bad and can lead to softlocks if you move into the water in this state.
9. I once got into a situation where I could use a healing item on the overworld and it wouldn’t be used up, so I could use them infinitely. No idea how to trigger this.
10. The same goes for a state the menu can end up in where you can only select the first item in the list making it impossible to equip boons or weapons.
11. When you defeat an enemy on the first hit of a multi-hit attack, the attack will keep going even when the battle is over.
12. This isn’t a bug, but something about the way the menu is setup doesn’t feel intuitive. You use one set of shoulder buttons to move left and right, and the other to move up and down? I think it would make more sense if you used, say, the up and down d-pad to move up and down. Also, I’d like to be able to move over to my currently equipped boons and weapons to see what they do.
13. When you try to switch your partner in battle, but then DON’T switch your partner, you become no longer able to switch them. This is a problem because if you accidentally press the wrong button then you’re no longer able to give your turn to your partner or switch them out. I’d recommend making the change partner action one of the battle cards, or at least adding some text to make it clearer which button does what.
14. Also, yeah . . . giving your turn to your partner doesn’t do much. Please let this make the enemy attack the partner and still let Loaf have a turn afterward. Being able to switch back to Loaf after switching to a partner would also be appreciated.
15. For whichever reason, when you get the super ladle, it upgrades your normal ladle, but also gives you a super ladle you can equip, so you can have 2 of the same attack. Personally, I think both of the ladles should be equipable so you can unequip them if you don’t want to use them.
16. I really, really wish that I could unequip some of my speed-up badges. I love going fast, but I don’t love going THAT fast all the time.
17. When you defend against the final boss, it just . . . dies? And messes up the cutscene afterward, too. (I believe I did this with Lint when it was at 14 health. I was a little confused when it happened HOW Lint managed to kill it by cowering in fear, but I don’t think it’s intentional)
18. This seems exclusive to the end of the game, but if you level up during the final section and get more weapon slots, then put weapons in those slots, when you reload your save after beating the game the weapons will still be equipped even though you don’t have enough room for them >:D
Thank you for bearing with me. Hope this helps, and I apologize if I’ve reported any bugs that are already known! I played this game as a Demo and I’m so happy with how far it’s come! ! !
Edit: I just had the same problem happen again with Numbskull island and the second Berserk Badge xd
