For example, one of the sidequests is to talk to Papa Baker and give him a sample from one of the guys in Midtown. However, I can't talk to him about it due to him only answering "Can't wait to taste the delicacies" which I believe is linked to the main quest. So it's seeming like I won't be able to complete any of the sidequests that involve Papa Baker until I beat the game.
This also happens with sidequests as well as NPCs only seem to track one quest at a time. Going back to handing out samples, I couldn't give the sample to the Frost monkey guy because he had the active sidequest where I had to go kill the spider in the mine and bring back the corpse.
Edit: I have found the issue I had 2 alternate color palettes for both lint and loaf the yellow jacket for loaf and blue sweater for lint and have since changed back to the original outfits this has since fixed the softlock and I can continue to have fun playing the game :).
My controller setup will be different than most. I use a Mayflash Adapter with Delfinovin to map my controller to Xinput, so it should be recognized as an Xbox controller. However, I have also tested this on Mouse and Keyboard. Still happens. I think the controls should also be able to be better mapped to gamecube controllers. I had to switch some of those inputs around to navigate the menus at all since I don't have a left bumper.
There is also some campfires you can get stuck on, and if you jump, your companion/you will fly WAAAAAY up. I also found a few places where I can clip out of bounds, but I was trying to find these intentionally and they are not normally accessible outside of precise jumps.
Edit: This also happens with the Ladle.
Also I had already found Lint's family before solving the main quest in Chloe's house but when they're sitting around the fire afterwards talking to Lint has him worried about finding his family and providing a crude drawing to Chloe. Not really a bug per se but I guess it didn't expect the player to finish that side quest already.
Eventually it just worked and I was able to progress, but had to go through the scenes beforehand each time.
