Steam Deck sign-in needed

how to run this game on deck, it asks for login but i get a grey window then an error and so on endlessly.

You may not proceed without being signed in to profile

I have the same problem, the instructions the guy showed above do not help in our case.
I still have not found a solution

What I did was set compatibility to Proton Hotfix and the gray window finally became a proper sign in. Make sure to change controller settings for the right trackpad to act as a mouse and left button click. Tried everything else before this and the Proton Hotfix was what worked. YMMV.

OK, these XBox Login Screens can be painful sometimes. But this is weird.
Switched to Desktop Mode, changed the compatibility to Proton Hotfix and started the game. Had power supply, mouse and keyboard connected via USB Hub. And when starting the game the first time, I needed to login to my XBox/MS Account. With the change to Proton Hotfix the login pop-up appeared and was readable for the first time (was grey or black before, tried different approaches). I was facing several pop-up windows in the process, but being able to successfully log in once solved the problem. Disconnected mouse and keyboard afterwards. Now everything seems to be up and running as expected. Also in Game Mode. Thanks for the hint!
