teredo on my pc would always work when forza was not installed with the ms store = i uninstalled forza and teredo worked again
with the steam version i dont have that problem so i think it should be fine if you didnt have any problems with the steam version of fh4
Most ISPs in my country come with a Teredo filter because its apparently an outdated system that can be used to attack your router. Since I live in student accommodation, I cannot disable this filter. This makes all multiplayer Xbox games unplayable on the Microsoft Store AND on Steam. The only exeption being Halo:MCC since that can run natively through Steam instead.
FH4 and most other Xbox games on Steam also require Teredo. It's a big rip.
I had the same issue with FH4. Using a VPN (Surfshark in my case) solved (or more like circumvented :D) that issue.
Haven't tried with any other Xbox games or VPNs though.
My favourite bit is that if it stops working for whatever reason you have to manually go to settings and press the 'fix it' button yourself, instead of it figuring out that it isn't working and just doing it automatically.
I wonder too why the solution to it always breaking was just adding a 'fix it' button you constantly have to press, instead of just like
>Actually fixing the issue
Do you maybe know what you changed? I am stuck with this issue and have tried everything I could find when searching "Xbox live multiplayer server connectivity blocked" on Google. I am only left with a complete fresh install of Windows 10, as the "Reset and keep files" one did not work. What pisses me of the most is the fact that it worked before and all of the sudden doesn't. I would really appreciate any reply. I also added you as a Friend so you don't have to write all of that in this discussion if you prefer. Cheers!
First weeks everything worked, then i couldn't connect online anymore. I Tried all the suggested solutions from the net and started contacting Steam/devs and eventually Microsoft for a fix. One said that the other was responsible. Ultimately they asked me to manually open certain ports on my modem, which I had to contact my ISP for that to do. they refused, but told me I could open them myself, making all warranties null and void, they would also no longer offer any help and support the second I manually open these ports!
This is a disgrace. Because I opened the ports and nothing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ changed!!!
So as far as customer support goes, Teredo issues are the worst, and I speak of multiple decades of gaming here.
Eventually the only thing that worked was a clean install of windows 10. After that I could play online. and yet, a month ago, the exact same problem appeared again and FH4 is unable to be played online . And that is trough Steam.
I went for it, and bought FH5 anyway, knowing full well the support is ♥♥♥♥ and the game may not be played online, but at least I can let you guys know then if there is a difference between FH4 and FH5.
And tbh, judging from this forum, I may be very dissapointed?? The feedback is pretty bad so far.
I'll let you guys know once I started it up, should be tonight, hopefully.
Just follow the steps in SOLUTION 3, and DISREGARD anything it says about "if you see this or don't see this", it doesn't matter if you see it or not, use the command lines either way:
