Controller was alright but maybe I just never got very good with that because I don't even own a console.
For me keyboard was hardly perfect but it allowed snappy reaction times I couldn't get with any other method.
He said racing. Not sim. Are you autistic? Clearly. You exarcebate to make a brainlet statement every single post. Stop posting here. Touch some grass. Working on getting you banned from here already. Brainlet.
Why? Simply because you have more options than "full throttle" and "no throttle at all", unless you manage to bind your gas/break to your mousewheel, but that's gonna suck hard. Same for steering.
Personally I'm using a wired 360 controller I got for 40 bucks a few years ago. Didn't let me down yet.

PC is about having options, not about forcing yourself to use keyboard/mouse because you're afraid of catching console-cooties lol
