I wish I knew the answer. FH4 I played with keyboard, controller, and a Logitech wheel. The Logitech wheel was the worst simply because FH4 didn't support the full range of features and when it came to steering it was the absolute worst on the wheel. Really sad given that game is the reason I bought a damn wheel.

Controller was alright but maybe I just never got very good with that because I don't even own a console.

For me keyboard was hardly perfect but it allowed snappy reaction times I couldn't get with any other method.

I recommend mechanical keyboard. I perfected FH4 on one (178/178 achievements) and it has been pure joy.

Yep, a few times. Not my cup of tea. My xbox one controller is packed up and sits in a drawer for a year now.

Controller, preferably any XBox controller.

Why? Simply because you have more options than "full throttle" and "no throttle at all", unless you manage to bind your gas/break to your mousewheel, but that's gonna suck hard. Same for steering.


Personally I'm using a wired 360 controller I got for 40 bucks a few years ago. Didn't let me down yet.

I play except for some exceptions almost everything with XBox360 Wireless Gamepad and besonderst racing games do not go at all with me with keyboard and mouse a no go

I've used keyboard in the past on forza games (Forza 6 Apex) and controller is far better for everything. Shifting in manual is better, turning is smoother, and controls are more fluid.

for the first time Xbox controller going to have haptic feedback at Forza Horizon 5.So controller seems as best option to me

Controllers are standard PC gaming kit, they have been for over a decade. You should definitely invest in one, for this game and the many others that are better with one.

PC is about having options, not about forcing yourself to use keyboard/mouse because you're afraid of catching console-cooties lol

I doubt that I'll use my Xbox controller. I've had nothing but bad luck with Forza games using the controller and I doubt that that will change for 5. Reasons: Input lag - input lag - more input lag.
