Sorry to hear you're experiencing this! We'll try to get to the bottom of it, but first we'll need some more info, I'm afraid.
Since you've already refunded the game (understandable), could you please try running the free Friends' Pass version, and see what happens there?
And if you could then send us the logs to either support@snowcastle.no, or even better to our Discord here https://discord.gg/p4RfRQr4, it could definitely help us resolve this!
You can find the logs in 'C:\Users\*yourUser*\AppData\Local\Castaway\Saved\Logs'.
And I'd like to ask you for the same, Thunaraz, it would be much appreciated!

Would you mind hopping on our discord server and posting the log file there? Steam only seems to send a couple of lines from it, I'm afraid. (or is that all there was in the log?)
However, ideally you won't be able to reproduce the issue as we've pushed out an update with a possible fix, so please make sure you have the latest version, thanks! :)
When she clicks Play on Steam it shows as running, I get a notification from Steam friends that she has launched the game, but it does not show up in her Task Manager and no window opens. She tried verifying game files and reinstalling the game entirely - didn't help.
I will send the logs from her machine in the Discord server. She's not planning to refund the game, so if you need anything more from us, please let us know!
I've posted the logs as well as some updates about what's going on in the general-discussions channel for Ikonei on the Snowcastle Discord server.
A quick fix in the meantime, for anyone else experiencing this issue. We signed into Steam on a different device (I know not everyone can do this, but it worked for us) and tried to launch the game there. Steam complained that the game was already running elsewhere. Tell Steam to quit the game on the original PC. If you go back to your original PC, it might work now. Good luck!

Can you please share your PC specs with me? That way the dev frogs will have more info on how to squash this pesky bug!

That's really unfair to you, and we sincerely tadpologize for it :'(
Hop-efully we'll have a fix out soon. The dev frogs are working on fixing many bugs as I write this to you, and thanks to everyone's reports we have a patch coming with many bug fixes!
