What is going on, why are they shutting down there servers?

I just found out that the servers are shutting down. This in effect would make this game unplayable.
Why are they doing this?
Is there anything that can be done?

Such a shame really, Propnight had potential. It certainly wasn't going to take down the likes of Dead by Daylight, but it was a nice little change of pace now and then. I can't say I didn't have fun with it while it lasted. I do wish they'd refund people given that even if people have lots of hours on it, the game is about to be completely dead. It'll no longer serve any purpose for ANYONE to still have it installed, much less on their accounts.
