Does GTA San Andreas "Definitive Edition" has local multiplayer?

Local multiplayer is intrinsic to the original version. But I couldn't find a discussion on the subject. Can anyone confirm if the definitive version has local multiplayer?

no, it's single player only

Wasn't part of the initial feature on pc sadly (Including DE), its mostly a ps2/xbox thing (and i believe returned on the ps3 version).

That's sad! So is it safe to say that neither the XBOX Series nor PS5 versions have local multiplayer? An "Definitive Edition" should contain all of the original game's content. It's definitely not worth the price it is.

I think there's a mod that revives the old mode, but the lack of it's inclusion just feels stupid
