Should I play this over the original San Andreas?

Hello there, I never got into San Andreas (barely played it back in the day), I remember playing Vice City like more than 15 years ago and it was good, I finished the original vice city this year, and it suffers from being heavily outdated, but with few patches the game was fine.

I heard that this edition loses details over the original, my main concern its the plastic look these games have, cars look like toys in the vice city remaster, this one seems to look better, but still. Do you recommend playing this one over the modded original?

Basically if you move your camera while driving and release the mouse/stop moving it, almost instantly it auto-centre the camera which is very very annoying...

So I guess they didn't bother adding an option no disable camera auto center, I would be annoyed.

no you shouldnt. whats fun about the old trilogy is that you dont have checkpoints. if mission over then mission over. thats why old gta was so much fun. it dident treat you like a child

I'm playing GTA 4 and when you fail a mission, you can accept a restart which prompts you to the very start of the mission, by checkpoint you mean that? Or you actually have checkpoints during the mission, for example at half the mission.

That truly sucks, and I guess you can't disable those...

tried this ***** yesterday and insta refund. they fckd up everything from original. apart from insane number of bugs, physics broken, something has animation in 30fps something in 60fps, cars don't have stop animation, movement is bugged too, mission are remade for mobile. it's basicly broken as hell mobile game for full price. Don't even spend time on it. Oh and JATPACK is not working lol.

Damn..., I heard some aspects of the game are straight from mobile, I really don't get why they did this, I mean I do, just sloppy work, cheap work, but hell, its a rockstar game.

well they get rid of GSG but i don't bealive in fix of this game, as i said it's mobile port not ps2 atleast so it must be new game again :)
but what annoyed me the most is camera autocenter on mouse just like if you play with controller.

yeah mate i played SA a lot back then. not SAMP. just original PC version of it.

you can always buy it and give a try if not just refund how i did. Either way it maybe playable enough on Steam Deck but not PC for sure.
