Why is flying with keyboard so weird in this game, is different for chopper and plane and it's so bad compared to the original game.

Are there any mods that fix this, or am I missing something?

Besides that kb/mouse controls are missing turn left/right buttons which is annoying on helicopters.
Better use gamepad for flights if you have it.

Wait, are you using WASD and mouse? Or WASD and Numpad?

Also, flight in SA was always nasty, even on controller.

Hi, I was using WASD and Numpad, also tried arrow keys.
I could get it to "work" a bit but not as I was expecting/used to.

I found it very confusing, it was very different from the original for as far as I can remember.

I have an easy solution I just finished the zero missions. I only switched 2 controls and I manage to pass the missions. I mean dont get me wrong its very annoying and insulting but somehow its managable to say the least. So I switched controls on flight ascend to up arrow and flight descend to down arrow. Hope that works for you :). As for WSAD keep as it was from original controls.

But when you get to the flight school on the airstrip things get really weird lol
Starts with airplane then chopper etc, controls become a nightmare at least in my opinion.
I don't know if you got that far yet but thanks for your comment anyway : )

And with the controls becoming a nightmare I mean compared to the original game btw.
As MASTAN mentioned before it's probable better to play it with a gamepad!

Yea I realised from like start of entire game. Controls and entire gameplay seems to be diffrent. As for flying school. I just reached it tonight. I might end up trying to complete it on weekend since then I'd have more patients and nervs for stuff which I wouldn't have during work week :D

I flew with mouse since the original came out and find it way easier than buttons because i can actually 'feel' the aircraft trajectory. How can one enable mouse controls for flying on definitive edition??? Any tips? Because keyboard flying is completely terrible.
