Does the Definitive Edition Project mod work for the disk retail version?

Obviously I'm not talking about the remaster, which is this one, but I read on the DEP site that you're supposed to put the files in the Steam folder. I never bothered to buy SA on Steam because I always had the original PC DVD copy that's the best 1.0 version (allows all mods). However, I'm not sure whether the DEP mod is meant for the DVD version though. Has anyone tried that mod with the disc version? I'm only asking on here cause I can't even find the forums for the original version on Steam.

why not just try it? if you can simply redownload from pc dvd then go ahead to see it yourself.

You're probably thinking of Rockstar's "remastered trilogy" version. I'm not talking about that one (which this game is part of). I'm talking about the "Definitive Edition Project" mod that was made for the ORIGINAL trilogy before the "Definitive Trilogy" was ever even announced.

Why are you imagining things? I have already used the "Definitive Edition Project" mod for original trilogy. Like seriously, I never said that I have remastered version, I only have OG Trilogy on Steam account. Stop being delusional. Instead of judging people without knowing anything, you should try the thing on your own first then go to their official discussion.

Um, I wasn't replying to you. If you noticed, I replied to the person below you. I never said anything about you, nor imagined or judged you on anything. I only guessed the person below you clearly didn't know which version I was talking about. I actually DID find the original forums and asked on there. I don't really expect anyone to reply on here anymore. The question hasn't been answered but I'm not exactly looking for an answer on here either. I don't mind the topic getting closed.
