Is there no gun store in san andreas?

I played this a lot as a kid but back then I used cheats to get the weapons.
Now playing without them and I did few missions now,how come there is no gun store??
3 and vice city have those
Asking because using just a pistol in every mission is kinda hard

You'll unlock the first gun store after "Doberman" mission

i now gotta do for caesar,og loc and the cop
sure i got guns but all are low on ammo so im kind of in a tight spot

there are guns hidden around the map also one is on top of the house in grove street

Yeah i know weapons are around the map like in others but map is so huge i dont wanna explore every part of it.
Would rather go to a gun store cuz i made like 10k now driving a taxi
