How does it run on steam deck Thinking about picking it up for it but given the terrible optmization im worried it wont run well at all.

Ran great for me. I bought it later in the evening last night and played it for over an hour before switching to Vice City for about a half hour before I had to get some sleep. Look forward to playing some more when I get home from work.

Im 5 hours into the game and aswell playing with Proton since i use Linux instead of Windows. No game breaking bugs - works flawlessly

I suggest you try what I do and that's to install emudeck or pcsx2 the PS2 emulator and play the original games on your Steam Deck. You can even up the resolution if you like and the best part is that all the original music is there, sadly this remaster lost a lot of music tracks from the three games.

I can't get San Andreas and Vice City to run at all. Gta3 works but I have to play on Medium graphics and fps isn't close to 60

Works perfectly fine on my end and Rockstar launcher automatically logged into my account since Steam is connected to it. Have played for 3 hours and have had zero issues with the game.

Go into the settings cog wheel before you launch VC or SA and go to compatibility then pick “Proton Experimental” and both games should work.
