Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - The Definitive Edition

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - The Definitive Edition

Statistiche:
Are all the licensed music removed?
I heard 30 tracks are missing from the trilogy and was curious if they were the licensed songs. I ask because as silly as it sounds, but without those songs I won't buy. Those songs hold significant memories of the original games for me, so that nostalgic experience will be lost especially when the game is priced premium

To those saying "What? You expect Rockstar to pay the license for all the music originally in the game?" when all the music was fundamentally a part of the original gameplay experience are completely missing the point. The whole "music licensing" thing is a broken system, for both games, TV, and movies. There are TV shows and movies that won't ever see the proper light of day because of licensing rights for some background songs that were used, and that's messed up. So they're relegated to 240p copies on Youtube taken from what looks like VHS. Taking songs out of GTA, or any other game, is also messed up. In this digial age that is damn near twenty years old now, there need to be better licensing agreements made from the start. This is why a "digital only" gaming future sucks. Because rights lapse or change hands or are disputed so things just disappear or are changed and don't clearly represent the original intention of the art. Games like the No One Lives Forever series never get released on digital storefronts because nobody even knows who owns the IP anymore. Preservation is important. These companies need to get their heads out of the sand and start figuring stuff out.
