Not really noticing stuttering when driving no. What FPS are you capping at?

I mean £23.99 for 3 games seems okay to me, and I'm a cheapskate!

I am experiencing it on GTA Vice City. I only experience it when driving. Like 60 fps then suddenly I will get 15 -20 fps drops. I am capping it at 60. I tried 90 but it has worse FPS drop. The graphics is beautiful but the driving stuttering is making my playing experience sucks.
This is my specs i5-12500h rtx 3060(Laptop GPU) and 16gb ram. I think my setup should be enough to run GTA Vice City.
Not really. Zero stutters here.

And yes, your hardware should be enough to run without problems.. but then again. It's a Laptop... so I can't vouch for that.

I mean those specs sound by far more than enough indeed. Even accounting for it being a laptop (as opposed to a PC).

Have you checked temps etc, made sure you are not overheating?

It's been a long time since I've used a laptop, but I recall having to have cooling pads and faff around just to keep them from melting in even medium quality games that a PC wouldn't even break a sweat for. We've come a long way since then so I'd hope things are a lot better, but its worth a check?

Outside of that, making sure your gpu drivers are updated etc, could help.

Yes, I have checked the temp. I am using a laptop stand with a cooling fan and based on my monitoring while gaming my temp is around 60-65 degrees Celsius which should be normal for a gaming laptop. Yeah windows and gpu drivers are updated. I am only encountering those micro-stutters when driving very fast. Like my fps is solid 60 then I will get micro-stutters. when driving. I have checked some reviews on youtube found out that this is mostl ikely unreal engine micro-stutters. Regardless of PC setup it happens.

Ah fair enough. Sounds like you've done all the stuff that could be expected. Not much can be done with engine issues probably.

Maybe I'm just too careful a driver to have noticed them then lol. Shame, but hopefully it doesn't completely spoil your experience. I've loved being able to come back and play these games again in a more modern engine personally :)

Yeah I did everything to fix it and I just got used to it by now.hahaha I am already done for most of the story missions. Most of the time I just use slower cars or motorcycle when driving. At first it did affect my overall playing experience but as I go play longer I got used to the micro-stutters. Yeah these are my top gta games. Especially GTA 3 and GTA VC. I used to play them on my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC when I was a kid. hahaha
You can try to use DirectX 12. It seems that Definitive GTAs works better with it.
