How to progress after ED 1 5/5 and ED 2 5/5

I can't seem to progress anymore or at least see stagnant progression.

I have seen people say that the first pride is the next step. I can't unlock ED 3 since I can't beat Tournament Round 5. Do I farm Sins now and for what would I spend them?

how have you finished ED 2 5/5 and you cant finish tournament round 5 and 6 to start ED3? not even trying to sound mocking im like legit curious

I don't know how to answer that. I assume maybe I haven't afk'd long enough before graduating yet (before trying to beat the Tournament)? But I always managed to beat ED2 after being in the run for a few days.

well, if you have it to buy you can buy the sin status% upgrades with sin like you can with insp and during individual runs you can grind gluttony to increase your damage stats of choice if you wanna proper brute force it. but im assuming you know all that already.

I do know that, but it took very long to get close to finishing tournament round 5 so I assumed I am just missing a bit of "meta" strategy that would make this easier. One of the drawbacks of doing this game casually for years with months of breaks inbetween I guess.

I will try buying the stats up with Sin now, I was wondering if that was worth it. But seeing as stats are my main limiting factor, I can just put everything into that now.

Do NOT ignore food buffs. Keep making anchovy sandwiches the moment you can and just auto feed them. Open up the feed option by the rubies. Sometimes look at what your opponents are doing, magic of physical and eat the corresponding food that buffs those stats you lack.

That's what I've been doing. Thanks for the tip though. I have now beaten Tournament round 5, but round 6 is still a bit away.

One other overlooked tip - the iron golem and its effect with scrap metal. It gives a base number for the percentages of food to make bigger.

have u tried farming sandwiches at the start through farm work? maybe staying at the starting village for a few could help yk farming pork and sandwiches and dark rituals

My first question is "How often are you performing a Sacred Ritual?" Because the more frequently you perform it, the more Inspiration you'll have, which you can trade in for more stats. I'm sitting at about 28 million Status Ups... which is about what I had when I finished completing my last ED6 run. Another thing you may want to invest your Sins in if you haven't is the Blazing Aura+ upgrade. It takes that worthless unit and makes dumping literally BILLIONS of seeds into it worthwhile since it changes Blazing Aura from just giving, say, +5 to all stats to an additional 5% to all stats. For example, my Blazing Aura gives me 92.7 to all my stats... which means I get an additional 92.7% added on to everything

Thanks for the tips guys. I do Sacred Rituals kind of frequently but I am not at 28 million status ups. I also started buying Blazing Aura now :)

I will now update this. I did a big mistake which wasn't previously mentioned here.

I hadn't beaten the second guardian (THE HERMIT) yet. The levels on my character were enough for me to beat Tournament Round 6 2 days later.
I forgot to try to beat it again after previously not getting CLOSE months/a year before.
