Question about when to DR with talent higher than next.

I'm on my first run and I kinda forgot about this game for around 600 days-ish, then I DRed. My current talent is at 23.7B and my new talent will be 28.4M. Should I still DR even though I'll lose an obscene amount of talent? I'm trying to fight the scarlet dragon right now but my stats are utterly lacking when compared to one of the guides

Your current talent isn't doing anything for you, so losing it doesn't mean anything. Yes, DR a few times, gaining inspiration and spending it on habit and stats or other early benefits (sorry, I don't remember what's available). Be smart and careful - some ways to spend inspiration will get you more of the same benefit than others, though in the end you'll buy them all.

If you're really lost dealing with the dragon, automate production of anchovy sandwiches and let that run for a day (what's one more after 600??). (And, of course, eat them in the Gluttony tab, not in the "Instant Actions/Common Actions",) That should be enough to get you over the hump.

I forget when the first Guardian ("The Destroyer") becomes available to you in the Astral World, but make sure you make your best effort to kill it as soon as possible, and as much as possible, maximizing research drop as best you can. The allies you get from the Guardians are game-changers, literally.

Oh also, don't disregard Greed and Gluttony. They are incredibly important. Though I don't think Greed is available to you yet.
