Ending 5 Troubles
This ending 5 is so difficult. It feels like you should be able to do it if you get all the prerequisites, collect the party, collect the gems, only to run into the boss.

3e20 HP.

I can easily clear all the summons instantly, I even managed to do about 25% of his health. I just chip away at it, but then he runs out of summons. What am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to level myself? I've been leveling all the units that give all stats and the Fire Drake. My core stats are at about e10 each, and that translates to e17 to e18 per hit.

It is just very frustrating. I got to the Gourmet Village, sadly I haven't gotten the rares from Dragon Village up, but I just don't know what to do.

My Body Envy is at 30 per except for Magic Attack, which is at 55.

I am sure others are likely just as annoyed as me, I really want to see that sweet sweet lore. I love this game, its my favorite idle game.

Your party for the Ending 5 fight is restricted to Human Party Members, all of which have their stats based on the Protagonist's Stats/Levels. Aka, the more you invest in yourself, the stronger they become. That said, there are two key strategies for this fight. First, you can try to blitz the Demon King with the good ol Friendly Formation Wind Step into One Hit KO combo. If you can't do enough damage in a single strike or you are not fast enough then this wont work. The other strategy is the Magic Formation AOE method. Use any spells with AOE effects and whittle the guy down gradually. Light Magic in particular will do extra damage.

Issues
Now for the problematic parts. Ending 5 and Zone 10 (Evil City) were the original endgame which means that Ending 5 is balanced around what you can obtain in Zone 10. Ending 6 was released after Zone 11 (Dragon Village) but I would normally say that if you can clear Zone 12 (Magic City) then you would be able to handle it. In your case though, you will not be able to handle the solo content due to your under-powered Protagonist. Start pumping Destiny and Seeds into yourself and that will help with most of the problem.

There is one more egregious issue and that is just how under leveled your Envy is. From what I am reading I see that you have 30 Envy Levels in all Body Routines with the exception of Magic Attack where you have 55 Envy Levels. I can then only assume that you are utilizing Body Strategy in order to double the benefits from Body Routines. If you were to have 100 Routine Levels in any of the five combat stats then you have a +100% bonus and then Body Strategy would double that to +200%. While going past that will have diminishing returns it is still very much worth further investment.

How to Acquire More Complaints
In order to gain more Complaints, you need to generate more Sin. How much Sin you obtain after Reincarnation is based on your Total Experience across all runs. This means that anything that improves your Exp Drop Amount will be crucial in raising your Total Exp and thus the amount of Sin you will obtain. Use Equipment like Adventurer's Armor and the Commander's Flag, complete every Quest possible that gives you a Permanent bonus to Exp Drop Amount, dump crazy amounts of Rare Monster Research into Greed to shoot that Exp Drop Amount bonus to the Moon, and of course boost Envy's Exp Drop Amount to go even further beyond. Since you cleared Zone 12 ( Magic City) you should grind the boss there for Exp.

The amount of Sin you get from Total Experience is then multiplied by various factors. Class Routines and Secondary Equipment bonuses are among them but they are small and can't be easily boosted so lets skip them. That leaves Greed, Gluttony, and Envy itself as your most powerful multipliers.

  • Greed is by far the most powerful multiplier. It will easily reach into the hundreds with proper investment. Use Magic Formation and AOE Spells to clear Dungeon 2 of each Zone and use the Arrogant Fairy to boost your Research Drop Chance if needed. Once its time to invest, make sure you have the Hungry Pig Man Familiar active with the Sage's Grimoire equipped.
  • Gluttony is kind of a pain to enhance as its bonus is limited by your Satiety Capacity and you increase that Capacity by eating a lot then performing a Dark Ritual. Your Max Satiety will then increase by 10% of your Current Satiety.
  • Envy surprisingly also boosts Sin gain if you purchased Envy Upgrade 1 from the Shop. This bonus is based on your Envy Multiplier which increases by 0.005% per Routine Level in any of the Envy Routines. At 20,000 levels you will have a +100% multiplier. You will have to find a good balance between improving good Routines like Instant Action Effect and Satiety, and improving bad Routines just for the extra Routine Levels for your Multiplier.

Alchemy
Assuming you have not yet finished Magic City four times yet, you can also try to unlock the Alchemy mechanic. It takes a huge amount of investment to be good but you can obtain 5 Crimson Orbs fairly easily and bask in the +100% All Combat Stat bonus from Color Matching.

Well, first of all, you want to boost your fire magic as much as you can since the more you have, the bigger the bonus for Fire Drake. Second, what are your Status Ups looking like? When I did it, I only had through the Village completed (Magic City wasn't implemented yet), so my level was locked at that amount... and finally, what are your Pride completions? Because right now, with 3.3x Pride, 3.87e7 Status Ups, 6.1x Status Up from Sin, 3.113x Quest, and so on, my stats are almost e19. I need to run more Pride runs for the added bonuses
Okay, thank you both so much. This makes so much sense.

Envy, personal leveling up, and stat ups.

That is what I shall work on now.
Sorry, meant to ask about this a while back.

How do the Armor and Flag help with exp generation? They boost PDef and all stats, respectively, and none of their specials appear to have anything to do with Exp. Of all the artifacts obtainable up through Evil City, it looks like only Wanderer's Robe boosts exp directly.
Uh...I dunno about you guys, but I was able to use the genius golem in the active party with myself subbed out. I had Fenia, Iari, Norn, Father, and the golem with stat boost summons in the back.

So, equipments all have 3 passives and 3 active specials. Only the first passive is unlocked when you forge them and to unlock the other passives, you have to use crystals to level them up level 10 for the second passive and level 30 for the third passive. EXP gained levels won't count, only magic crystal levels will. Both for the flag and the adv armor, the third passive is the exp gain.

Argh. I actually knew that (that the passives and randoms are different) and then forgot. :-( It's even in the Wiki. Thanks for reminding me.
