I won't be able to get the squad one for the Astral world one since i think i need to beat Demon King at least once before i can get that, until i beat the Scarlet Dragon story boss fight which is the one i have not done yet i won't be able to reach demon king, so i am going to farm status upgrades in the astral world section as well as food to raise my attack stat up, i might also have the order of my party be the ones that deal the most amount of damage to the least amount going top to bottom since i think that dragon have 2 AOE attacks so having the member that deal the weakest damage at the top will probably not work for me for that battle.
Btw, too many squads aren't helpful if you can clear all quests without them. More squads mean less stamina for each of them and max stamina of a squad increases the quest reward. Not by much much but it is something for free.
Btw, do you ignore dark rituals and/or reincarnations? To me, 100 inspiration cap became quickly limiting.
Higher talent slightly improves habit efficiency and makes next dark ritual's ranking up faster. This really matters only when you need a high rank for something and can't easily get it.
Inspiration gets you various benefits and can be dumped into bottomless habit and stats improvements - this is where the progress is. Enough habit efficiency allows you capping speed of many routines with 1 habit, reducing the need for higher ranks.
And unlike talent, Astral world and Akashic record bought stuff persists through reincarnations.
why is your starting will lower? it should increase wich each DR, independent of how much talent or whatever you got
and as darnavir wrote, dont care about talent, only when you need a specific rank to continue
inspiration is your bread and butter in this game, you will need millions of it and you will get it too, if you continue to DR
so, the most efficient way to play is to DR asap, except if you are close to reaching rank 28 to unlock will or if you need a specific rank
if you DR often you will get a lot more inspiration then if you wait for a long time, since the experience needed for the next rank doubles (or x4? i dont remember)
The starting will shouldn't be affected, it seems dependent on total will gained or spent - fewer DRs might actually increase it a little bit faster. Not that it matters, there's only a little difference (unless the longer DR is needed to reach rank 28). This of course ignores inspirations spent on habit efficiency.
I though the Initial Will thing in the tooltip, which is Will's Starting amount for each Dark Ritual, get lower if my Talent is not equal or greater than the highest one i have reach previously, but if what you and Darnavir is saying does not matter for this, then i will start doing this after i get my Talent to be equal to what my current one is or higher one more time before i start doing those rituals every 60 minutes or so.
*edit* i see you mean initial will, not max will, now im unsure, but it still dosent matter, do 1h DRs for better efficiency, very soon you will not care about initial will and only care about max will, since thats the limiting factor most of the game
After I got those three I focused on things that would help me automate.
Auto Sacred Ritual - as soon as I had Auto Habit Allocation this made life easy. When I reincarnate I just re-select the zone I'm clearing and that's it. It also makes it easier to reset at any time. I might not normally have time to start a new run before I leave for work, but when it's this easy I do.
Upgrade Auto Eat slot - The ability to prevent auto-eat from using ALL of the food is really handy and flexible. The main use is for a raw resource you want to eat and cook with. Or in the case of honey to eat, cook with, craft with, and provide resource gain.
Improved Auto-Devote - Now I can just select everything and let it go. Or if I want to rush levels I can de-select everything but Holy Will. One less thing to constantly fiddle with.
Improved Put In - Nice to keep a stash of gold for levelling or whatever. Or set it to like 80-95% of your gold and keep the auto-donate on forever, then you make sure you don't waste the gold you collect.
I might just go for quest reward increase next, then probably more quest slots, but I may change my mind and go for shortcut slots to make sloth more complicated. The eny upgrades look like fun late game, but you need a ton of sin and habit efficiency before it'll be useful.
