Sometimes I ask myself if it's even worth it all the time it takes to craft them (let's be honest, making mithril sucks big time).

But then again, since I went all the trouble to unlock them again in the run, might as well do it.

Mithril becomes much easier to acquire in Zone 8 if you are willing to wait that long. As for the usefulness of the Elemental Armors, they do make your first run of ending 4 easier as well as a number of activities during pride runs. Not only that but the Fire Armor in particular is quite useful in the endgame.

By "Zone 8", do you mean the Smith's Village (the 8th place you can go to, counting from the top)?
If so, I'm there, but I don't think it makes it particularly easier to get.

Mithril becomes much easier to craft once you get a MIthril Bird in your party.
