If, however, you care to rush Gluttony progress at the expense of meta-progress, you should have at least completed the game up to the point where you can travel to the "Desert Lodging" area, unlock the Cooking recipes there, comfortably one-shot the Boss there, and grind out one of the new dishes, "Dried Fruit." It's much easier to cook than most other dishes and has a great satiety factor. Also make sure you're taking advantage of the "Hungry Pig-man" Familiar while doing your eating.
But again, if you're struggling to make 2.5K satiety in an hour, you really should be focusing on Dark Ritual and not Gluttony, no matter how tempting the "Auto Eat" upgrades look. You will trivialize Gluttony later. But that's just my opinion, man. Play the game how you want to play it!
