potions and spirit water

for some reason the maximum potions i can make is 19 with maxed elite chicken bonus. also, spirit water didn't get unlocked so I can't progress past deep ruins. what happened?

to unlock spirit water you need to have a conversation with on of the spirits in spirit spring
if you dont have any conversatioins there left, check if spirit water is unlocked in spirit springs, it is an area action, so only possible in spirit springs

else, you need to unlock another conversation with the spirit, check if you have at least one honey, manure, potion and holy water in your inventory, i think you need these to unlock the conversation options
and water is needed, so make sure you have at least one water(i think you need to purchase the water magic book in astral world for that)

thats what i remember on top of my head for unlocking spirit water

appreciate the advice. holy water isn't unlocked either. i can't talk to the spirit king because i need 15 honey to clear the fire spirit and i can only get 10. no way to increase that i can see even with all characters maxed out. i've not had this happen before and uncertain where the mess up was or how to fix it.

Put soldier bee in your party for more honey max, it does it through its added flower effect.

soldier bee didn't help. I will try to max out his special but not sure it helped before either. somehow previous times had higher max potions and holy water/spirit water unlocked not sure what i did different. that was on kongregate tho and not steam.

for soldier bee to work, you need flowers
so first max out flowers
then put soldier bee in you party and check the effect that flowers give
flowers should now increase honey max, the more flowers you have the more it is increased
that should allow you to increase honey max and continue with the spirits
if you already completed a run, you dont need to do the spirits questline, just go on and kill the DK
