Why do I keep occasionally passively getting 2 scrap metal?

I don't understand why I'm accruing scrap metal. I'm not fighting in the ruins. (I'm fighting in the Waterfall while making Goddess Statues.) I'm chasing my first ED2.

I don't have any passive regen indicator when I mouse over the Scrap Metal item in the resource list. I don't see it come up in the loot drops for the monster I'm fighting in the Waterfall. How am I getting Scrap Metal?

party tab > quest

you have a quest active thats giving you 2 scrap every minute
