seems someone finally defeated spearman

anyone else working on this? want to share strats?

only thing ive learned, after farming hot stones and dried fruit for a couple days, is that you cant out-tank this.
need to use his momentary strike to kill him. which for me, means about 40k attack from gluttony

currently nom-nomming dragon liquor for the bulk of this. and some added salt / pork / bean soup while waiting on harvest rice.

will increase rice and cooked rice cap, when sins permit, and try rice balls as well

any advice?

to unlock anything related to ED6 you need to buy "factors for a new story" in akashic records, it unlocks finishing after ED5
you can DR as often as you want if you dont leave the village

Got it! DO NOT refuse training, its an option when you successfully trained with father including Serious one (you can DR once to reach 40 rank) while not choosing to go further to the forest. Then you get second Upgrade action "Talk with Father", and then "Decline training". THAT is the one! I'll post more info on later meeting Sigurd. At least I know he will show later if I avoid graduating.

to tell the truth, the stats to defeat Sigurd and spearman are absolutely ridiculous - 3T & 30T. How many months more am I supposed to spend earning them?

Well, the difficulty spike is there to give you something to strive towards until a new zone/guardian/feature is released. You can just leisurely make progress and eventually beat it, or wait until the new content makes progress easier (assuming new content is coming).

You need to beat all the other training rooms and then father fights before leaving the village. You are not expected to do this on your first run, and would likely find the fight rather more challenging. This is stuff required for the high level endings.

Wind step should be fast enough to hit him before he insta-kills your party in a single attack, so if you've been grinding matk+ gluttony, you can use that.

I did it the first time recently with atk though using sharp spike 78million status ups, every allstats+ in a maximum sized party, 500 physAtk in envy, completing every quest in every area, and 1 week of grinding gluttony.

I solved this issue by focusing gluttony on Phy. Def and HP. He attacks roughly twelve times, so each party member should be able to take 3 hits of roughly 150Qi damage.
After that, you should be able to one-hit kill him with Wind Step.

Successor of Heroes is what you get when you defeat the Serious Spearman, which is a requirement to begin the 6th ending. It seems like you hit a bug if it didn't unlock for you. Try a manual playthrough and accept training from father before leaving the village again. Then you should be able to defeat him in the forest.

I really doubt you get both achievements for the same thing. Next time I'll try and take a training with the spearman from father, thx for the tip.

It doesn't really matter what build you have. PAtk should work out fine, just make sure the actual attack is done by the last (the 5th ally) and does enough damage (3,5Sx). You have a few seconds time for the attack.

That works in the forest, not the fight at the Demon King's castle. There, you just have to be faster than 1.6 seconds.
