But currently some new features are in the beta and even though a new area is not yet part of it it is quite likely that a new area will be required to play the new content, and it was also 3 months ago since the last new area got released, so we really soon can expect a new area. And with a new area DK5 should become a lot more reasonable without a huge grind.
21k stats up is way to low atm
i needed like 2 million stat up clears before i was able to kill him
that was with a lot of dried fruit eaten, so as Nico above wrote the easiest thing would be to wait for a new area
if you want to farm, you should get inspiration+ as high as you can (i would suggest more then 2k clears), then farm inspiration
I think I will have to 'let go' of this long run and do some reincarnations for Sin - I have about 40 in insp+. It stings to start over at 'the end' but the slow drip of Sin is not going to get me the power I need to end this.
Looks like I need to find the middle path between 'wait for more content' and 'upgrade stats 2 million times'.
but even if you need a DR to reach rank 39 (41 for hungry pig man familiar) you get 35 sins in a bit more then an hour, so thats way more efficient then the ~40 sins a day you can get from the guardians
just do sin runs for a week, then you should be better prepared for inspiration farming
but farm research before you reincarnate, greed helps a lot for sin farming
Habit efficiency is 30k and I have hundreds of millions of research left to spend. (Sloth-looping bosses helps and my time spent summoning Queens and Silver Dragons for Runes (Ancient Spells) through DK1 has got a nice lil nest egg for the rare research.)
I'm currently at something like 3600 hours played on the steam version and about a year before that as well. I've been eyeballing ed5 before it was even in place but my current strategy to get to ed5 without burning myself out is to just passively work my way up to it. Adding some points into stats, and the like. But really I am just having fun by unlocking every sin upgrade, all the insp upgrades, maxing out equipment unlocks and waiting for expansions. I expect in one or 2 more content updates, there'll be enough skills and areas to explore that will allow me to get through ed5 without having to brute force grinding a million stat ups.
Also I know myself, if I finish ed5 I will consider the game complete and probably drop it. So I am allowing myself to take some time to get there as this is my fav idle game so far, and dont really want it to end.
The first 4 Chronicles are so excellently paced that I was just sort of taking for granted some of the mechanics that I unlocked in the later hours (like Envy and Sins) on the path to ED5. The answer for 'what am I missing' was Sins (and Complaints). Maybe thousands of them.
I have since been pleasantly surprised at some of the new bonuses and the way the final chronicle encourages the player to create their own tactics and strategies, breaking a bit more of the 4th wall by exposing the mechanics (through Envy and Sinventory upgrades; pumping Wood to 1k+ for apple regen is a strategy all of a sudden). It was only since posting this query and being stubborn about reincarnating that I spent Sin on DR+. Looking at the Ritual tab I noticed it added an extra multiplier (Base (Sin)) instead of just increasing Base as I expected. That's a huge bonus that I have been neglecting.
Inspiration bonus is now a healthy 21x after a couple dozen sin runs too.
780k stauts up.
43k% Magic attack in gluttony
lvl 110 in Magic attack envy
Level 75M for my main character.
