I ask because I think I made the wrong decision to take sorcerer since in dnd I tend to take magic classes, not realizing that maybe I crippled myself for my first run

somehow beat the purifying slime, working to grind and power up for the next region

err doing dark ritual when its better than the last one

And here I thought I'm the only one struggling on my first run Sorc xD, is it better with other classes?

yeah, socerer is more for crafting, since the other help with all thing related fighting (warrior - status up, better exp, some units get faster, sacred ritual multiplier) and ressource farming (tamer - more research, more ressource drop, more seeds, more rares)

if you beat the slime you are in academy city
if you want to take full advantage of the socerer and dont mind a LOT of crafting, steer clear of the slums and you will have to craft A LOT of statues, it will take time, but you gain a higer statue max and since some statues give stats that is a strategy that should work

be warned, you will need to craft - i think - 666 statues from wooden statues to goddess statues
the good thing is, wooden statues give exp regen and goddess statues give destiny regen and max destiny

if you dont want that, go deeper into the slums, but then you cant really take advantage of the socerer

and last but not least: do a dark ritual as soon as you can, dont care about talent except if you need a specific rank for a quest
the inspiration you gain is way more valuable then talent and you should focus in gaining inspiration, your progress will be faster

naah, its not wrong, it is just not as fitting for your class xD
and you are spared from an ENDLESS crafting chain, that isnt to bad
dosent matter, if you do constant DRs asap, you can finish everything, dont worry
and the desicion with the girl dosent really matter, so no worry ;)

fair enough, just slightly annoyed my first run is a bit of an uphill climb, still thanks for clearing things up...though I noticed equipment...when do you get equipment?

later, as in next reincarnation at the earliest
there is a arrived in cave quest in academy city after you did some other stuff there and get the 3. titel, if you follow that questline you come to an action that costs 5.5k destiny, if you manage to do that you can follow the quest further and unlock equipment
if you continue that questline it leads you to the 2. ending this game has
because of the high destiny cap it is recommended to do a few runs of ending one, or/and steer clear of the slums since the goddess statues give a lot of max destiny

Sorcerer is the hardest of the 3 classes as a first run. But they're all pretty balanced. Each class works better for different stages of the game and what your goals are for an entire playthrough. For instance. I am farming sin (Which is a late game resource) and I tend to go warrior because its the quickest way for me to plow through the game.

But when I was still unlocking things, sorcerer is really good for killing the harder late game bosses after you unlock new spells.

And tamer for leveling creatures and farming researches.

you should choose tamer for sins, greed gives a HUGE multiplier to them and that means you need as much research as you can get (fill greed jus before you reincarnate to more then 400 max satiete and take a look at your multiplier - save bevore so if you feed to much you can reload)
and later you can unlock all routines at the same time, then its only tamer that gives a nice enough bonus to choose it

yeah, I did tamer at first for sins, but i basically max out my sins every run whatever class I choose now. I just find warriors damage boost a little quicker at killing the demon king. But thats good advice also.
