That's not true. rank gives you nothing in terms of combat power. Only familar with lesser demon does and if everything is maxed like you said, rank ~7 or so in familar is way more than enough. You either must be missing something else or maybe have over seen some feature. Do you use physical formation vs the orc (can be activated at the top right during battle).
Bacause you are at the beginning of the game, you will unlock stuff for inspiration every few new dungeons and quests. Even unlimited stuff. So keeping hold on them is key unless you are maxed out. If so, buying a inspiration max upgrade would be the way to go. I also can not really belive you already have bought all the spell books and still in town.
