more statues?
dont do it on the first run, do it on a long run
wooden statues are a great source of exp regen, stone statues are nice for stamina regen
other amulets are a good source of stats...
i can do the complete line in 1.5 hours now, its doable

1,5h? Damn, I'm on my fourth run with a sorcerer and I'm dying here xD The first part is fine, but when you start adding Shrines and the number of statues goes by the 30s...

if you get to village valley, the summons help with the crafting ^^

shrines are the whole point of the bishop questline
more statues means more benefits

I did that on a run where I spent about two months farming gluttony. Goal was statues quest as a mage, and cleared the desert at a fairly low level doing it. Shrines + Phantom whale + magic is pretty strong.
