From what I can gather, I've chosen Tamer, is that research drops like seeds. If you increase resource drop chance I think you'll have better odds of gaining it. As a tamer I have the option to also increase how much drops. It makes leveling up the rare creatures tough.

You can see the chance that research drops on tooltip on enemy or in bestiary.

Its low, lets just say that.
I usually leave it running overnight on a rare creature I havent maxed out, even if I don't need the drops in that zone or whatever.

dont do this
you can farm all the rare monsters when you reach the Demon King, he will summon whatever is in your party and those summons can drop research
it is way faster then farming for it in a dungeon
you only need it to drop once so you can put it in your party for the demon king to summon

Thanks for the tip, hrm.
Just going to leave it on the strongest creatures I have then so they get maxed out and progress past the next wall.
First time now after clearing the dragons nest I dont have a new wall just tons of boring crafting to do.

Really wish the tedious part of making stuff could be fixed in this game :(
It's as simple as the game switch to the pre req materials to make if you select a higher one and run out of mats...
A queue system could also work.

After beating the Demon king and doing ED1 you unlock a queue system- although it has some upgrades it is fairly insufficient for doing multiple complex tasks.

Even though it is insufficient to fully automate complex tasks I find it rather useful.

For example:
1. Switch to Picking Flowers->Weaving a Wreath
When Maxed Wreaths
2. Switch to Lumberjack->Create Wooden Statue->Create Goddess Statue
When out of Wreaths
3. Switch back to the first set of commands

I occasionally have to check the game and do the switch manually but it takes a lot of time to max or run out of Wreaths so production of Goddess Statues is mostly automated. I don't have to babysit and max Wood, then Wooden Statues, then do it all again.
