Manual saves?
I've read the forum and there seems to be some conflicting information about saving, so I'm asking here: can I manually save? Not quicksave, but a real manual save.

And when I say "manual save," I mean old school "save whenever and anywhere I want" like we could in the 1980s and 1990s on computers.

(NOTE: I've been gaming on computers since about 1984, so I remember the old days when you had to make a dedicated save diskette before everyone had hard drives, and being able to save/restore my game whenever I wanted in most games throughout the 80s and 90s.)

There is no such option in game. If you want good old save you need to disable Steam cloud saves, and go into location %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\ShadowGambit_TCC\user_steam<some number>. Create a folder backup inside, and copy all other folders and files in the location there - this will do a hard 'save'. To 'load' you need to do reverse. This way works, however big nuisance is you have to exit the game every damn time.

A quick save is a solid save state you make throughout the whole mission, i.e. if you quit out of the game while in mission the game will load your last quick save. The game autosaves when you're in the ship hub.

No, there is no manual saving.

It's quicksaves through the missions (I can't remember how many or if there's a limit) and then once you're done with the mission the game is auto saved on the hub. You can't reload half way back into a mission or go back to an earlier point in the game without doing some manual tinkering with the game save files.
