Help Game Glitch, Hangs Up, Freezes.

So i bought this game about a day ago and wanted to give it a try. Now that i have reached the point where Jacob is Viewing the dome and going down under the hatch after reaching the bottom of the ladder game just FREEZE to black screen and whenever I end task using task manager and re open the game and continue it just freezes to black screen? and when i deleted the 200MB savegame file i just go back to "Aftermath: Reuniting with Ellias". Damns I have played many games and encountered troubles but i always fixed them. But this kind problems these game has, it makes my blood out of control and want to just smash everything. Imagine the frustrations this game gave me! F***!!!! Whatever fix i do. Manual savegame always saves 200MB??? F***! NOT WORTH IT!

Monitor: Acer 144Hz
Processor: AMB Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU: GeForce RTX 3050 8GB
RAM: 24GB

Same , black screen climbing down the ladder inside hatch. Cant pass this point Tried deleting saves, running at low graphics on 12900k i9 4080 gaming PC and running on steam deck. Here for a solution, steam wont refund as ive played more than 2 hours.

go look at your save folder (C:\Users\YOUR ACCOUNT\AppData\Local\CallistoProtocol\Saved\saved games, look and see how your lastest saves are 200+MB and ruined, all you can do is delete them and go back to the latest 145k save that works but it's going to break on you again when you go down that shaft and it autosaves and makes a 200MB save file. You'll get a black screen that you cant get out of.
this game and its saving system are GARBAGE for a $60 title, i'd rather buy 6 indie games that actually work and have support than this game where the devs have KNOWN about this problem for a YEAR and havent done ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to fix it. so yeah, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥, your last working save will be when you have to shoot the head of the robot before the trap and thats all you get of spending $60

I've experienced this once and I'm not using WeMod. It's possible that WeMod exacerbates the issue, but it's certainly not the root cause.
