Did Jacob know? SPOILERS

It is implied toward the ending of the game in a flashback that he knew he was transporting the bio-phage but is never confirmed.... is it supposed to be ambiguous or am i missing something?

He knew there was something hidden under the med supplies that wasn't normal.

He didnt know what it was.
He was like F it, not my business, i just drive the truck and make deliveries.

He also crossed his fingers and hoped Dani wouldn't touch the fake medical cover when she opened the box.

yeah he knew he was transporting something secret because it shows him access the tubes in the lower half of the case in one of the flash backs, but it never shows him open one to see whats inside, he chose to ignore it which is why he starts to feel responsible for the outbreak near the end and "sacrifices" himself to save Dani. Through most of the game you as the player know he is somehow responsible but dont know to what level, at one point my expectations were subverted just to later be confirmed kind of while also making you start to feel bad for jacob, the story definitely isnt oscar winning but it's definitely not completely terrible like some people think it is. What gets me though is how long it takes Jacob to actually realize he is accessory, like he has a feeling earlier on, but its not until it's literally spelled out for him in the lab near the end that he actually realizes lol.

He only knew he was smuggling 'something' but he never knew it was a virus. He didn't care to check what it was cause he just wanted to make enough money to retire from that job as he says to max in the opening cutscene. He only realizes at the end.
