Whats difference between minimum and maximum security?

Sounds like there will be more guards helping me in maximum security, or is the guards evil and hostile so I'd prefer Minimum security for a first playthrough?

it's difficulty settings, guards have nothing to do with it

minimum == easy

maximum == hard

Nothing really. Maximum is hard but it has the same amount of enemies, they take the same amount of damage to kill and they do the same amount of damage.

same amount of enemies as far as i can tell, but they definitely take much more damage before dying

They aren't that much tougher. I've been playing on NG+ so my perspective may be skewed by having easy melee kill combos and stuff since everything's fully upgraded. But you really do take the same amount of damage. Max Security is like medium hard now that Hardcore mode is a thing.

Also just don't get hit, not that hard outside of 2 or 3 brief moments in the game where you fight a lot of dudes at once.

I think it's more that it SEEMS just as easy since it was your 2nd (or more) time through the game when you played on Max. I've felt that way in many games just because I know what to expect, so I take less damage because I'm better at avoiding it.

Hardcore though, there we are talking scaling down of resources considerably as well. Even Hardcore though once you know where to find all the loot and use only two guns becomes very doable.
