Is this game as scary as Dead Space Remake?
I'm too chicken to play Dead Space but I'm ok with Prey. So is this game as scary like Dead Space or more like Prey?

This game is not scary at all.

As the others said, this game is not scary at all.

This is more of an action game than a horror. The Dead Space remake is alright, has some sense of dread, but here you literally are encouraged to get into a slug fest with everything so it kinda detracts from any elements of horror.

This game is closer to Prey.

I wouldn't say either DS game is scary. Its more accurate to say they can both generate a lot of tension in the player, that sometimes pays off in legitimately being shocked by the game when the tension breaks.

The original DS did it best. DS:Re is tense to a lesser degree. CP generates no tension or atmosphere at all.

not scary at all but tense moment at times.

There's definitely gore and jumpscares with atmospheric lighting in there.. it's a horror-game so by the broad definition "scary" is, it fits the bill.

What is "scary" is completely subjective so no one can really answer this for you.

Hard to be scared when you can enable "easy mode" and hold left or right to avoid every attack in the game.

It goes from left right left to left left left. I call that Jacob's combat stutter.

This game forces you into meele combat by making it the most efficient way to conserve ammo. You can kill up to 2 super mutants with your disco stick without even getting a scratch. So no, its impossible to be scared when you WANT the enemy to come close you.

If you like to have DEAFENING SCREAMS that attempt to jump scare you to some ridiculous and pointless non-threatening moments then you'll probably think this game is scary.

Otherwise, you'll find it a slow and pretty mind-boggling easy romp through a cool looking space base.

Denny, above, has it right on. The game forces every encounter to be up close and personal, so you've literally got monster slobber in your face, hard to be scared when that's the design of the game.

the only one that i can say is "scary" is alien isolation, and not cause it's scary in the literal sense, but that it can be quite unnerving to play at some points

If you are 15yo and older, if you find any horror movie or game scary, damn... What a little fruity fruit.
