So basically you (like most people) just wanted it to be a Dead Space or RE clone, what makes Callisto unique instead is exactly the cambat being developed around melee.
It's more than just the melee, it's that you can use stealth, and pick up and throw enemies, and drop them to a crawl with a couple precise shots. And they don't hand out these subtle differences like candy either. You have to strategize how you sneak up on enemies, how many batteries to carry and where you can grab and swing enemies into machinery, and how to quickly cripple enemies.
Runs smoothly, and I have 0 bugs. For 20€ its more than worth it. Esp. when you take in mind we rarely get good action packed horror games.
2hrs is refund time, which is more than enough for you to judge for yourself.
Dont belive the crybabies, they tend to cry for everything these days
And the irony is that the same guy made both, but as always its a team effort so without his old team Glen Schofield fumbled at every step from extremely generic story to very simplistic game play.
The harsh response was 100% justified, they deserved it for trying to rip off Dead Space, if you advertose your game as a spiritual successor to that series you can deliver a weird melee movie game instead.
Just how mediocre this game is really shows if you play RE4Remake and Calisto back to back.
One is brilliantly designed, other dosnt understand its own mechanics.
Its especially funny since Dead Space 1 was a response to Resident Evil 4, and now A remake of it cames out not soon after a Responsce to Dead Space, and somehow the formula got so butchered and simplified you would say its Calisto that a remake of a 20 year old game, not RE4 Remake.
