As a parting gift: Please give us an FOV Slider!

The field of view is so bad in this game. If you aren't going to update it anymore, AT LEAST give us an FOV slider! (I'm aware of the FOV mod, but why not have it officially built-in?) FOV adjustment is one of the basic things included in nearly all PC games.

Agree. This game is a motion sickness fest. It's a long corridor of suffering through nausea. Every jolt is in your face. The disparity between your camera and your control is awful and sickness inducing.

Survival Horror games are known to have a narrow FOV to add to the suspense and shock, as it limits your peripheral vision and because of it are less likely to always see what's coming.

So while I get that this makes it hard for those susceptible to motion sickness, with the UE 4 Unlocker, it becomes a simple tweak in the game console.

If I had motion sickness, I'd rather do this than avoid playing the game.

Thanks, but as stated in my post "I'm aware of the FOV mod, but why not have it officially built-in?", and have beaten the game twice with the mod. I get that they'd be trying to add to the suspense but there's still no excuse for a modern PC title to not offer it as an accessibility option. Thank god for the FOV tweak.

Technically this is not a mod, it's just an unlocker that allows you to make the adjustment yourself, vs install a mod.

The video you linked calls it an FoV modification, and I was aware of said FoV (mod)ification.

Pedantics aside, I never said it was an installable game mod; I understand that it is a .dll injection and .ini tweak to allow (mod)ifying the field of view via the console.

My OP is a public call for the devs to hopefully consider adding an FOV slider natively.

And that is a misnomer, because in reality it's more of a player tweak after using the unlocker. It WOULD be a mod were he packaging the tweak and offering it for DL, but he's not.
